Nothing is created equally. Not dogs, cats, husbands, wives, toothpaste, athletes, doctors, chefs, lawyers, dog food, or Realtors.
So why do buyers often search the internet for over a year to find a home and then go with the first realtor they talk to?
And why do many sellers list their home with a neighbor or friend with no idea if that agent is experienced in negotiations, market analysis, escrow coordination, and hundreds of other important qualifications?
So what's the answer? Explore our website and write down specific questions to ask when you interview a Realtor. Look for areas of additional education to protect your investment, ask how many years in the business and how many transactions on average, and find out about the office where they're employed. Do they have a support staff such as a marketing assistant, escrow coordinator, relocation manager, so they can concentrate on your transaction? And there's so many more questions you could ask. Do your homework and choose your real estate agent carefully. You don't want to end up saying to yourself "what could go wrong, did go wrong."
